Who We Are
JESTA Business and Community Empowerment Foundation NPC was founded to tackle one of South Africa’s greatest challenges: the disconnect between untapped community potential and access to meaningful economic opportunities.
Our journey began in Rosslyn — an area of both industrial strength and social inequality — where we saw the opportunity to make a real, lasting impact by empowering people directly at the grassroots level.
We’re more than just a nonprofit. As a registered NPC (Nonprofit Company), we serve as a development bridge — connecting underdeveloped communities with the resources, skills, and support needed to thrive in today’s economy.
Our Vision and Mission
Vision:
To see townships and semi-urban areas across Rosslyn and around become vibrant, economically active communities where people are skilled, businesses are supported, and development is community-led.
Mission:
To empower youth, women, and informal entrepreneurs through skills development, enterprise support, and community resilience initiatives — creating a solid foundation for economic transformation.
